The time of your new home build depends on if it is a fully custom home or a semi-custom home.
Semi-custom homes generally have a pre-construction period of a month and then a construction period of about 6 months.
Custom homes take a little longer. The pre-construction phase typically lasts 2-3 months and the construction phase lasts 8-10 months.
There are three primary types of new construction homes – custom homes, spec homes and semi-custom homes.
